O antigo jogador do Algés, Benfica e Interclube de Luanda, Edson Ferreira está de regresso ao basquetebol português.

Questionado pelo Planeta Basket acerca dos motivos que o levaram a sair de Angola, Edson respondeu que queria sair do Interclube, para se desvincular do contrato com o clube angolano. O seu futuro próximo passa por jogar esta época em Portugal, sendo que no próximo verão planeia regressar ao país africano.
