O Desportivo de Leça, ao vencer o Esgueira em Aveiro, por 62-65, ficou em excelente posição para ganhar a Zona Norte do CNB1 e conseguir a promoção à Proliga.
O jogo, disputado sob excelente ambiente e com muito público nas bancadas, foi equilibrado e extremamente emocionante. No último segundo, o extremo do Esgueira, Fernando Martins, ainda teve a oportunidade de efectuar um derradeiro lançamento triplo, mas a bola não entrou e a partida terminou com uma vitória da formação visitante. O triunfo do Leça acaba por lhe assentar bem, sobretudo pelo que fez na segunda parte.
O Esgueira tem um plantel mais vasto mas o Desportivo de Leça tem mais qualidade no jogo «interior».
As duas equipas voltam a encontrar-se no próximo fim-de-semana.
